flynas is Saudi Arabia’s largest low-cost airline, flying from Riyadh and Jeddah across the Kingdom and to the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. Every fare includes a 7 kg cabin bag, Value and Plus add checked bags, and power banks cannot be charged on flights within Saudi Arabia. This guide covers power bank rules, check-in, Hajj and Umrah travel and how it compares with Saudia and flydubai.
flynas started flying in 2007 as Nas Air and was renamed in 2013. It flies an all-Airbus fleet of A320neo-family aircraft and listed its shares on the Saudi Exchange in 2025.
Saudi Arabia tightened its rules in May 2026:
Online check-in is available on the website and app. Counters usually close 60 minutes before domestic flights and earlier for international flights, so arrive at least three hours before an international departure.
At Riyadh and Jeddah, check which terminal your flight uses, as terminals change between domestic and international flights.
Infants under two travel on an adult’s lap. Choose seats at booking if you want to sit together. Wheelchairs and other special assistance should be requested at least 48 hours before the flight.
Children under 12 can travel with a parent or guardian, and young passengers travelling alone need the airline’s escort service, which must be booked in advance by phone.
Many travellers use the airline for pilgrimages to Makkah and Medina:
A low-cost airline, Saudi Arabia’s national airline and a Dubai low-cost rival.

King Khalid International Airport is about 35 km north of central Riyadh. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are the easiest way into the city, and the Riyadh Metro connects with the airport.
Riyadh’s airport has several terminals, and domestic and international flights can use different ones. Check your boarding pass, and allow extra time to move between terminals if you are connecting to another airline.
You can also book an airport transfer in advance at a fixed price.
Yes, for value. It offers low fares, a young Airbus fleet and a large network across Saudi Arabia, though extras such as bags and seats add to the price.
The airline has grown quickly as Saudi Arabia expands tourism, adding new routes to Europe, Central Asia and Africa. Domestic flights between Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Abha are often the cheapest way to travel around the Kingdom, especially when booked a few weeks ahead.
