About Corsair International

Corsair is a French airline flying from Paris Orly to the French Caribbean, Réunion, Mauritius and West Africa. Its all-Airbus A330neo fleet has Economy, Premium and Business cabins. This guide covers power bank rules, check-in at Orly, flying to the French overseas islands and how it compares with Air Caraïbes and Air France.

Founded in 1981, the airline was owned for many years by TUI before new investors took over in 2020. It now flies only Airbus A330neos.

Power Bank Rules on Corsair

New international (ICAO) rules apply from 27 March 2026, and European airlines follow them:

  • Each passenger can carry up to two power banks, in cabin baggage only, never in checked bags.
  • Power banks cannot be charged on board, and you cannot use them to charge phones or other devices during the flight.
  • Up to 100 Wh needs no approval; 100–160 Wh needs approval from the airline. Keep them within reach, not in the overhead bin.

Check-In at Paris Orly

Corsair flights leave from Orly. Online check-in opens 30 hours before departure, and counters close 60 minutes before the flight. Arrive at least three hours early, as long-haul flights are busy.

Families and Special Assistance

Infants under two travel on an adult’s lap, and pushchairs and car seats can usually be checked in free. Request wheelchairs and other special assistance at least 48 hours before the flight.

Flying to the French Overseas Islands

Guadeloupe, Martinique and Réunion are part of France:

  • EU citizens need only an ID card, and the euro is used.
  • Flights are domestic for EU rules, so EU passenger rights apply.
  • School holidays in France push fares up sharply.
