Air Serbia is the national airline of Serbia, flying from Belgrade to more than 70 destinations in Europe, the Middle East and North America. Its Belgrade hub makes it a useful connection across the Balkans. This guide covers power bank rules, check-in at Belgrade, connecting in the Balkans and how it compares with Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa.
Its roots go back to Aeroput, founded in 1927, and the airline later flew as JAT Yugoslav Airlines. It took its current name in 2013 and flies Airbus A319, A320 and A330 jets and ATR turboprops.

New international (ICAO) rules apply from 27 March 2026, and European airlines follow them:
Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure. Belgrade Airport is compact, but arrive at least two hours before European flights and three hours before flights to the US.
Infants under two travel on an adult’s lap, and pushchairs and car seats can usually be checked in free. Request wheelchairs and other special assistance at least 48 hours before the flight.
The airline links the Balkans with Western Europe:
