Scoot is the Singapore Airlines Group’s low-cost airline, flying from Singapore Changi across Asia and to Australia. Every bundle includes 10 kg of cabin baggage in two pieces, Value and Flex add a 20 kg checked bag, and power banks cannot be used during the flight. This guide covers the bundles, cabin bag sizes, power bank rules, KrisFlyer and how Scoot compares with Cebu Pacific and Singapore Airlines.
Scoot was founded in 2011, first flew in 2012 and merged with Tigerair in 2017. It is the low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines Group and flies both short regional routes and longer Boeing 787 routes.

Singapore Airlines and Scoot banned in-flight use of power banks on 1 April 2025, and the rules still apply in 2026:
Online check-in is available on the website and app. Scoot flies from more than one terminal at Changi, so check yours, and arrive at least two to three hours before international flights.
Infants under two travel on an adult’s lap. Some aircraft have quiet zones for adults only, and pets are not carried in the cabin. Request wheelchairs and other special assistance in advance.

Two low-cost options and Scoot’s full-service sister airline.
