VietJet Air is Vietnam’s largest low-cost airline, flying from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi across Vietnam and to Asia and India. Eco fares include 7 kg of cabin baggage only, Deluxe adds a 20 kg bag, and SkyBoss adds lounge access and 30 kg. This guide covers power bank rules, check-in, Vietnam’s beach destinations and how it compares with Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airways.

Power Bank Rules on VietJet Air

The airline bans using power banks during flights:

  • You cannot charge devices from a power bank on board.
  • Power banks must be in cabin baggage, never in checked bags.
  • Up to 100 Wh needs no approval; 100–160 Wh needs approval.

Check-In in Vietnam

Online check-in is available on the website and app. Counters close 40 minutes before domestic flights and 50 minutes before international flights, and cabin bags must carry a tag from the counter. Arrive at least two hours early at Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai.

Families and Special Assistance

Infants under two travel on an adult’s lap. Request wheelchairs and other special assistance at least 48 hours before the flight.

Vietnam’s Beaches and Islands

Domestic flights make it easy to reach the coast:

  • Da Nang is close to Hoi An and long sandy beaches.
  • Phu Quoc is an island with resorts and night markets.
  • Nha Trang and Quy Nhon are popular seaside cities.
  • Many nationalities can get an e-visa for Vietnam online.
