About Trinity Airways (formerly T’way Air)

Trinity Airways is the new name of T’way Air, a Korean low-cost airline flying from Seoul, Daegu and Jeju to Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia and Europe. Cabin bags are usually up to 10 kg, short-haul fares usually include 15 kg of checked baggage, and power banks cannot be used on board. This guide covers the new name, the Korean power bank ban, long-haul flights and how it compares with its Korean rivals.

Founded in 2010, the airline was bought by the Sono International hospitality group and renamed Trinity Airways on 10 September 2026. It flies Boeing 737s and Airbus A330s.

Power Bank Rules on Trinity Airways

All South Korean airlines now ban the use of power banks on board:

  • You cannot charge devices from a power bank or charge the power bank itself during the flight.
  • Keep power banks within reach, not in the overhead bins, with the terminals taped or in a plastic bag.
  • Power banks must be in cabin baggage; up to 100 Wh needs no approval and 100–160 Wh needs approval.

Check-In in Seoul

Online check-in is available on the website and app. At Incheon, counters close 50 minutes before international flights, so arrive at least two hours early, or three hours for long-haul flights.

Families and Special Assistance

Infants under two travel on an adult’s lap. Request wheelchairs and other special assistance at least 48 hours before the flight.
