SAS Scandinavian Airlines is the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway and Sweden and a SkyTeam member, flying from Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo across Scandinavia and to Europe, North America and Asia. In Europe, Economy Light includes only a personal item, while Standard adds an 8 kg cabin bag and a 23 kg checked bag. This guide covers the fares, bag prices, power bank rules, EuroBonus and how SAS compares with Finnair and KLM.
SAS was founded in 1946 as a partnership between Denmark, Norway and Sweden and is headquartered in Stockholm. It left Star Alliance and joined SkyTeam on 1 September 2024, with Air France-KLM as a major shareholder.

SAS follows the ICAO rules applied by European airlines since 27 March 2026:
Larger batteries need the airline’s approval, so check before you fly.
Online check-in is available on the website and app, and self-service bag drops are common at Scandinavian airports.
Copenhagen is compact and easy to connect through, but allow time for passport control on non-Schengen flights. Families travelling with infants can check a pushchair and car seat free.

All three connect Northern Europe with the rest of the world.
