Nouvelair is Tunisia’s largest private airline, flying scheduled and holiday flights between Tunisia and Europe from Monastir, Tunis, Djerba and Enfidha. Every ticket includes an 8 kg cabin bag and a small accessory, and checked baggage depends on your fare. This guide covers power bank rules, check-in, Tunisian beach holidays and how it compares with Tunisair and Transavia.
The airline was founded in 1989 and is part of the TTS Group, a Tunisian tourism company. It flies an Airbus A320-family fleet and carries many holidaymakers and Tunisians living in Europe.

Nouvelair follows the ICAO power bank rules in force worldwide since 27 March 2026:
Check-in counters usually close 60 minutes before departure. Summer is very busy at Tunis, Monastir and Djerba, so arrive at least three hours early in July and August. Staff may weigh cabin bags at the gate.
Infants under two travel on an adult’s lap. Families flying in summer should book seats together in advance, as flights are often full. Wheelchairs and other special assistance should be requested at least 48 hours before the flight.
Many passengers fly to Tunisia’s resorts:
The beach season runs from May to October, with the highest fares in July and August.
Flights use Airbus A320-family jets with a single economy cabin and about 180 seats. Snacks and drinks can be bought on board, and there is no seat-back entertainment. Flights from France to Tunisia take about two hours, and charter flights may leave early in the morning or late at night. Cabin crew usually speak French, Arabic and English, and announcements are made in all three languages. Many flights are full in summer, so board early to find space for your cabin bag.
